Judge Baker Children’s Center Awarded SAMHSA Grant To Improve Services and Treatments for Children Impacted by Trauma

BOSTON, MA (NOVEMBER 9, 2021) - Judge Baker Children’s Center (Judge Baker), a national leader in children’s mental health, has received a 5-year grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to join it’s National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative.

BOSTON, MA (AUGUST 10, 2021) - Judge Baker Children’s Center (Judge Baker), a national leader in children’s mental health, named Dr. Gary R. Lyon,EdD, MPA to the role of  Vice President of Innovation and External Affairs and Senior Diversity Officer. Dr. Lyon collaborates with the CEO, VP of Programs, and senior management team to drive innovation in children's behavioral health and special education.  Dr. Lyon also acts as an external liaison representing JBCC in local, regional, and national venues.

BOSTON, MA (JULY 26, 2021) - Judge Baker Children’s Center (Judge Baker), a national leader in children’s mental health, named Richard Voccio, MBA to the role of Vice President of Finance. Voccio will be responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization and supporting the President and CEO, senior leadership, and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement financial management and oversight strategies across the organization.

Judge Baker Children's Center directs the Massachusetts Child Abuse Emergency Line, a statewide after-hours emergency response system.  Each year, Judge Baker's highly trained staff responds to more than 170,000 requests for crisis intervention, information, or referrals.

Judge Baker Children's Center is home base for the New England Association of Child Welfare Commissioners and Directors (NEACWCD), a consortium of child welfare agency leaders and staff members from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
