Social Pragmatics Groups

The Center for Effective Child Therapy (CECT) is excited to announce that we will be offering social pragmatics groups starting in October 2019. Our goal is to provide a welcoming and fun group environment for members to enhance their social skills and development. The groups will draw from evidence-based treatments specific to social skills in order to maximize positive outcomes. The groups will be facilitated by Chesley Robinson, LICSW, a clinical social worker and a licensed provider at CECT.

  • Our groups are intended for elementary and middle school-age children (ages 7 - 13) who may have trouble reading social cues, navigating difficult social situations, experience social anxiety, or who might benefit from additional coaching and support with peer interactions.
  • The 12-week course will run on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00 PM starting on October 16th at the CECT at Judge Baker Children's Center, 53 Parker Hill Ave, Boston, MA 02120 (onsite parking is available).
  • We accept BlueCross BlueShield insurance. For private pay families, we offer a sliding scale that can help make treatment more affordable. For private pay families who may be eligible for out-of-network insurance reimbursement, we can provide the necessary documentation.
