Judge Baker Welcomes Jayesh Bhansali and David Schwartz to the Board of Trustees

BOSTON, MA (July 17, 2019) - Judge Baker Children’s Center (Judge Baker), a national leader in children’s mental health, today announced that it recently elected Jayesh D. Bhansali, Chief Investment Officer for IRIQIV, an investment advisory firm and David A. Schwartz, a practicing attorney in Cambridge, to its Board of Trustees.

Jayesh is a senior portfolio manager with over 20 years of experience in managing, developing, and overseeing investment strategies across fixed income and equities, as well as derivatives, alternatives and smart beta. His background will provide expertise to Judge Baker’s investment and financial planning activities. David is an attorney working in Cambridge. He specializes in mental health litigation involving elderly and incapacitated individuals. David’s background in law will bring further legal competence to Judge Baker’s Board of Trustees.

Jayesh has previously worked as Managing Director and Head of Global Derivatives and Quantitative Fixed Income Portfolio Management for TIAA (1996-2018). Jayesh also serves on the Board of Trustees for Under One Roof Inc., another non-profit in the area focused on creating quality affordable housing for elderly persons. Jayesh has the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and CAIA designations. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Mumbai, and then pursued a master’s degree in Financial Engineering at New York University’s Polytechnic School of Engineering. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Gabelli Business School and previously taught at the Columbia Business School in New York. He is also an avid meditator practicing Vipassana Meditation for over 20 years.

David is an attorney practicing in Cambridge. He serves as guardian, conservator, trustee and personal representative, specializing in mental health litigation involving elderly and incapacitated people. David is frequently appointed by the Probate and Family Court to serve as fiduciary and guardian ad litem in complex probate law matters. David is a former Assistant Register of Probate, law clerk and staff attorney for the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, associate at Schmidt and Federico, PC in Boston and staff counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. David is a graduate of Boston University and Boston College Law School.
