Judge Baker Children's Center Names Marcy Ravech, MSW As Director of The Quality Care Initiative

BOSTON, MA (JANUARY 22, 2019)- Judge Baker Children’s Center (Judge Baker), a national leader in children’s mental health, named Marcy Ravech, MSW, who most recently served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Child Psychiatry Access Program, to the role of Director of the Quality Care Initiative. The Quality Care Initiative works to create lasting improvements in the quality of behavioral health care and other services for children and families.

Ravech, as lead of the Quality Care Initiative team, will be developing new collaborations and partnerships to expand reach and increase visibility of Judge Baker as a local, regional, and national leader in implementation science and dissemination of evidence-based behavioral health interventions for children and families. Working with families, service providers, schools, state agencies, academic institutions and funding organizations, she will help ensure that all children and families have access to the highest quality behavioral health care.

Ravech has combined experience in both community-based behavioral health and community health centers through her leadership roles at Edward M. Kenney Community Health Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Healthcare’s Community Care Alliance, and South Shore Mental Health. She also served as Associate Director of Policy and Research at the BCBSMA Foundation, where she was responsible for developing a statewide agenda for children’s behavioral health policy and produced the state’s first workforce capacity assessment of psychiatrists and behavioral health clinicians. Ravech has a B.A. from Brandeis University, and a MSW in Human Services Management from Boston University’s School of Social Work.

Named in honor of Harvey Humphrey Baker, the first judge appointed to the Boston Juvenile Court, Judge Baker opened its doors in 1917 and has been serving the children and families of greater Boston for over 100 years.
